About

Clayton Hamilton is an educator and performer currently based in Nashville, TN.

Along with being the Co-Artistic Director of the Middle Tennessee Woodwind Orchestra, Clayton also holds the position of the Director of Instrumental Music at Ensworth High School.

He previously held the High School Band Director position in Burlington, VT for six years before relocating in the summer of 2023. As an educator, Clayton has helped his private students achieve top places in the VT All State Concert Band and Jazz Band, as well as preparing his band students for regional and state festivals.

In his free time he enjoys drinking coffee with his wife Danielle and playing with his three dogs.

  • Guest soloist with Houghton University Chamber Orchestra

  • The Vermont Symphony Orchestra

  • The Burlington Civic Orchestra

  • The Vermont Wind Ensemble

Education

  • Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music

  • Bachelor of Music in Education from Houghton University.

His previous teachers include Rob Knopper, Ken Radnofsky, Dr. Chisato Eda Marling, and Demetrius Spaneas.
